Amber: I am a mother of two children that live with Beta-Thalassemia and Sideroblastic another rare form of anemia that causes my children to be considered what's called Cooley's anemia or chronically dependent of blood transfusions for the rest of the lives. Not only has it been an emotional journey with the more understanding of their illness and the negative possibilities, but financially it has been an impossible journey and the patience needed every day when you make that choice to help your children live one more day, month, and year. I have been through many adventures and climbed many mountains in my life time, but NOTHING is a precious as the life and future of the two beautiful souls that came from my body and heart and to understand my blood was like poison to them. Trying to forgive myself has been the hardest part ever through all this. This is my journey....
